Architecture+Design Project Lead

The Executive A+D Project Lead supports the Vice President of Strategy by leading the entire sales process of a project provided by the executive sponsor. Additionally, this role includes assisting other positions in all aspects of A+D sales and project leadership.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

  • Lead the order process and work efficiently with A+D firms, the client, Design Team, RFP Team, Project Management Team (when appropriate), Order Coordination Team, and Operations Team
  • Lead/facilitate all presentations

A+D Account Development

  • Coordinate ongoing requests for samples, product testing, and mock-ups
  • Respond quickly to  general questions and follow up with additional resources
  • Streamline and monitor design options 
  • Determine and communicate service issues to the Order Coordinator Team

Pricing Proposals

  • Acquire and prepare budgets and pricing quotes
  • Gather installation quotes as needed
  • Determine project and order margins
  • Select proposal format: letter quote, excel document or line by line CORE quote
  • Fully interface with Herman Miller to negotiate discounting for the full project
  • Acquire non-systems pricing using vendor representatives, websites, z-axis, spec-it, CAP

Project Coordination

  • Prepare final pricing once selections have been made and review in detail with A+D and/or the client, along with accompanying PowerPoint/Idea book
  • Provide Order Coordinators with paperwork for orders and deposit requests, sending invoices that are greater than 120 days old is mandatory
  • Schedule post-install meetings with the project team
  • Transition the client and project to an Account Leader

Teaching and Education

  • Lead showroom tours
  • Attend sales meetings to exchange ideas, encourage one another in our task, and learn about products and services we can provide to our current clients

 

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree
  • Corporate design, project management, or contract furniture industry experience

  • Furniture specification knowledge
  • Project process familiarity
  • Creative and detail-oriented problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with little to no supervision 
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at various levels of an organization both within and outside the company
